Powdering silicone helps prevent dirt, dust and hairs from sticking. Ordinary talcum powder (“baby powder”) can be used to powder silicone. Matting Silicone: Matting powders for silicone are far superior to talcum powder. Silicone Art Materials SFP Silicone Finishing Powder is made from cosmetic grade microspheres (tiny balls) of silicone, silica, acrylic and nylon that mattes silicone and gives a ball bearing effect. SFP can make silicone feel more like skin than rubber.
